Tax Intern:

Job Description:

We have an opportunity for a Tax Intern to join our team in January for the 2023 season.  The Tax Team provides tax planning and compliance services to businesses, individuals, trusts and estates, foundations, employee benefit plans and non-profit organizations. Our team of tax professionals has proven expertise in all of these areas, as well as in multi-state income and sales tax matters.

As a Tax Intern, you will have the opportunity to earn valuable, hands-on experience working on compilations, sales tax, payroll and other small business work; preparing tax returns for businesses, individuals, trusts and estates, all while earning competitive compensation. You will get a taste for what it is like to work in public accounting with professionals who are experienced in the field.  Senior level and Management team members will be available to help you make the right choices for you and your career path. The opportunity for permanent employment is available based on performance and the needs of the firm.

Qualifications:

Junior or Senior pursuing an Accounting Major or a recent graduate with a degree in Accounting

GPA of 3.3 or higher

CPA eligible/seeking

Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Experience with QuickBooks a plus

Tax Staff:

Job Description:

We have a career opportunity for a Tax Associate to join our team in January 2023.  The Tax Team provides tax planning and compliance services to businesses, individuals, trusts and estates, foundations, employee benefit plans and non-profit organizations. Our team of tax professionals has proven expertise in all of these areas, as well as in multi-state income, foreign tax and sales tax matters.

Specific Requirements:

0-2 years of tax experience in public accounting

CPA license or CPA eligible

Basic knowledge of accounting, auditing, and tax concepts

Positive, professional attitude

Willingness to share knowledge and assist others

Display professional poise and demeanor

The ability to work both independently and in teams

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Experience with ProSystem fx Engagement a plus

Achieve firm standards of productivity and realization

Understand nature of assignments; summarize assignment back to supervisor

Document findings in a clear and concise manner

Ability to use professional judgment and independent thinking

Attention to detail and commitment to quality work product

Strong organization skills; ability to multi-task

Utilize feedback for constructive learning and prevent recurring feedback on the same matters
